IWB Of UTPA Honor Kika De La Garza

The International Women’s Board honored Eligio “Kika” and Lucille de la Garza with the Excellence in Leadership Award at the annual IWB Candlelight Reception.

The International Women’s Board of UTPA chose to honor a couple who perfectly exemplifies the spirit of the studies abroad program the group promotes.

The de la Garzas also believe in service to the community as they both have served in both private and public capacity in a number of roles in South Texas.

The event was held on Thursday, Nov. 10 at the home of Judge Ramon Garcia.
